The TEAM II
TV series, 8 x 60 minutes
In the Danish marshlands, seven people are murdered in a brutal shootout. The only survivor of the massacre is a young Syrian woman (Sarah Perles), who flees into the vastness of the marshland. The perpetrator escapes unrecognized. Among the victims are illegal immigrants who had apparently gone into hiding in the boarding house. A xenophobic background can therefore not be ruled out.
Thus, the murders call not only the Danish inspector Nelly Winther (Marie Bach Hansen) on the plan, but also the Hamburg investigator Gregor Weiss (Jürgen Vogel) and the Belgian intelligence officer Paula Liekens (Lynn Van Royen).
The joint investigation team’s findings suggest a terrorist motive. But without the missing witness, the background remains opaque. The Europe-wide manhunt for her brings the investigators on another trail that leads deep into the history of Syria and its art treasures.
The TEAM is a European police series in the style of a fast-paced road movie and provides deep insights into large areas of organized crime, as well as completely new procedures and methods of police cooperation. The investigations lead across Europe, from Berlin to Antwerp, Copenhagen to Vilnius, and The Hague to Salzburg.
The first season ran successfully in spring 2015 (with a total reach of over 40 million viewers) on seven European stations and was sold to other countries.
