Superfilm Green Producing

Sustainability is a central component of our production philosophy at Superfilm. As a creative player, we see it as our responsibility to do our bit to protect the environment and help shape a sustainable future for generations to come. Sustainability is not a trend for us, but an essential value that we integrate into every phase of our productions. Our work is guided by the principles of ‘green producing’, and we do everything we can to minimise the environmental footprint of our productions.

In 2016, we played a key role in the development of the Austrian Ecolabel ‘Green Producing’ (UZ 76) and took the initiative for this pioneering project. In collaboration with ‘pulswerk GmbH’ and ÖkoBusinessPlan Wien, we launched the pilot project for the Vienna rural thriller ‘Höhenstraße’, in which the requirements for environmentally friendly film production were tested in practice for the first time. This commitment led to the introduction of the first version of the UZ 76 guideline in 2017.

Since then, we have been continuously committed to making our working methods even more sustainable and thus shaping the future of the film industry in a responsible and resource-conserving manner.

Nothing conveys a mission statement better than images – which is why we invite you to take a look behind the scenes. See for yourself how we live sustainability:
