Start of the program Gottschalk liest? from March 19 on BR television

A new literary program produced by Superfilm and starring Thomas Gottschalk will celebrate its TV premiere on March 19 at 10 p.m. on BR Fernsehen.

“A book must not bore me” – Thomas Gottschalk has taken this credo from his “mentor” Marcel Reich-Ranicki and made it the focus of one, his new book show. Reading is fun – that’s the motto.

In the premiere, the host talks to four authors about their new publications: guests are Sarah Kuttner (Kurt | S. Fischer Verlag), Ferdinand von Schirach (Kaffee und Zigaretten | Luchterhand Verlag), Vea Kaiser (Rückwärtswalzer | KiWi Verlag) and Daniel Biskup (Wendejahre | Salz und Silber Verlag).

Death and love are the big themes, including the question of whether there is a recipe for bestseller writing. The first location of Gottschalk liest? is the Park Theater in the Göggingen Kurhaus in Augsburg, with further shows being recorded in Franconia, the Opferpfalz and Upper Bavaria.
